MISS COLDSTREAM was built in David Gills workshop in Melbourne originally powered by a Ford 289 Ford Gt 40 motor supplied to Ray from Ford America and later fitted with the 390 motor FORD with a twin 4 barrel carby setup. It was built for Ray Adams of the Victorian Speedboat Club who lived in Coldstream, just out of Melbourne. The boat was later sold to John Vergona and still raced in Victoria in the 1980's. The hull is very similar to John Lewis' VULTURE

The hull is 20 foot long by 8 foot wide, built reasonably light. A rear seat design with a detachable rear wing and cowling. The hydro was originally fitted with a turning fin , but was later removed.
